Based on the Hajj Terminal, in Saudi Arabia, the Sunshine Pavilion uses the same forces and connections to create an overlapping 5 canopy structure. Created to host events in the center of Decatur, the tension of the canopy fabric and its structural post create openings in the roof that allow for unique sunshine and shadding patterns, giving it’s name.
